About the Journal
The Journal of Open Mathematical Problems (JOMP) will consider a survey centered on a famous problem. Ideally, such a "survey" would be an essay (say, 5 to 20 pages) giving the history of the problem, why it is important, what are possible methods for attacking the problem, various attempts at a solution, possible counterexamples, etc.
We prefer essays aimed at grad students, where a grad student in the field could understand most of the essay, and any grad student could learn something. Submissions from all parts of mathematics are welcome. All submissions will be refereed.
JOMP is a Diamond Open Access journal, meaning there are no charges to authors nor readers.
